### Q2 2026 April <a href="#q4-2023-oct-dec" id="q4-2023-oct-dec"></a>

* Update: Limits for copying files between workspaces
  * To optimise for efficiency and the successful copying of files between workspaces, we have set a limit for each batch of files copied to be **1000 files** and a total media size of **50GB**. If you require copying over this limit, we suggest doing it in batches.

* Update: Improved Search Bar
  * Based on your feedback, we've combined descriptive search, tag search and file name search into a streamlined experience. Now, just type in any keywords or descriptions and we'll surface the most relevant results, including media with matching tags and file names.

* New: Switch on/off Artificial Intelligence (AI) facial recognition option
  * We are introducing customisability to your uploads! You can now turn on/off our facial recognition feature when uploading, giving you full control over which media gets automatically tagged.&#x20;

### Q1 2026 January <a href="#q4-2023-oct-dec" id="q4-2023-oct-dec"></a>

* New: Leave workspaces
  * We know many of you have felt the great power that comes with adding people to workspaces and having them unable to leave. This year, we're turning over a new leaf. Now, you can leave workspaces by clicking on "Workspace settings" and selecting "Leave workspace".

* Update: Improvements to Artificial Intelligence (AI) facial recognition tags

  * We train our AI facial recognition model to automatically generate tags in images after detecting people of interest, for example key appointment holders in MINDEF/SAF and WOG. In this release, we looked under the hood to give Pinpoint's AI facial recognition system a tune-up so the tags will now be more accurate.&#x20;
  * We have also expanded our collection of faces recently. If you have more faces you would like us to recognise, feel free to write in to us at <pinpoint@dotc.gov.sg>.

* New: Retry failed uploads
  * Upload hiccups happen. Now, instead of having to identify and select specific files that failed, you can click on a button to retry failed uploads directly.

* New: Search media by name

  * In addition to description and reverse image search, you can now search media by file name. Just use the dropdown next to the search bar in the gallery to choose the search type you need.

* New: Arrow key navigation in expanded view

  * This was one of your top requests! You can now use your **left&#x20;**<kbd>**←**</kbd>**&#x20;and right&#x20;**<kbd>**→**</kbd>**&#x20;arrow** keys to move between images in expanded view — no more clicking around, just smooth navigation.

* New: Invite Teammates Who Haven’t Logged In Yet!

  * Tired of waiting for someone to log in before you can add them to your Workspace? You can now invite users *even if they haven’t logged in yet!*\
    Just enter their email, and we’ll send them a direct invitation with everything they need to join. As soon as they sign in, they’ll be added to your Workspace automatically — no follow-up needed.

* New: Reverse Image Search / Semantic Search
  * You can now search for images in your Workspace using key phrases or similar images! Simply describe in the search bar the image you are trying to search for, or upload another image to find images that matches your needs!&#x20;

* New: Media Sorting

  * Sorting is now available in the gallery, so you can sort your media files by dates and file names! Simply pick a way to sort your media and click on the icon to change the sort order!

* New: Folder Upload

  * Tired of uploading files one folder at a time? We now allow you to **upload folders with subfolders**! We will **automatically generate tags based on your folder paths** too, so you can save the hassle of manually adding tags after every upload.

* Update: File Names Now Displayed Under Media Files

  * We’ve rolled out a small but useful update: file names are now visible directly beneath media items. This improvement makes it easier to identify, organize, and manage your media files at a glance—no more guessing or clicking through to check filenames. It's a simple change that enhances overall usability and workflow efficiency.

* New: **Invite Multiple Team Members at Once**

  * You can now add up to 50 team members to your workspace in one go by typing in their email addresses, separated by commas (like this: <email1@example.com>, <email2@example.com>). \
    This update makes it quicker and easier to invite your team.

  * You can now see how long a video is—right from the thumbnail. Whether you’re browsing or picking the right media, the duration timestamp helps you choose content that fits your time.

  * New: Collapsible Sidebar\
    You can now collapse the sidebar to free up space and stay focused. Expand it again anytime when you need quick access to navigation.

  * Update: Expanded Facial Recognition

    Our facial recognition model can now identify 30 additional individuals. This enhancement improves recognition accuracy and ensures better coverage.\

  * Update: Increased Upload Limits

    We've doubled the upload limit! You can now upload up to **200 files**—up from the previous limit of 100. Enjoy more flexibility and get more done without interruptions.

* New: Tag view&#x20;
  * Tag view allows you to create albums with tags, offering an instant overview of workspace files.

* New: Enhanced downloads
  * The bulk download limit has been increased from 300MB to 3GB. Here's how the download process works:

    **For files under 100MB**:

    * The download file will be prepared instantly and shown in the browser for direct download.

    **For files over 100MB**:

    * The download link will take some time to prepare and will be sent to the email associated with the user's account.

    Note: There is no limit for individual file downloads.

* New: Effortless media navigation!&#x20;
  * We’ve made browsing media even smoother! You can now navigate through media in the gallery and selected media in the expanded view using the **left&#x20;**<kbd>**←**</kbd>**&#x20;and right&#x20;**<kbd>**→**</kbd>**&#x20;arrow keys**. No more clicking around—just press an arrow key to move forward or backward seamlessly.
* Update: Media format support
  * Pinpoint now supports upload of **avi, .heic and .heif** media formats

* Update: A fresh new design
  * A cleaner and more intuitive platform, including changes to simplify the sidebar and shifting of workspaces to the top.

* New: **Smart tag suggestions**
  * To streamline manual tagging, we now offer suggestions for existing tags as you type.
  * This helps ensure consistent tagging, like using “Singapore Prime Minister” for Lawrence Wong instead of abbreviation “SG PM.”

* Update: **Enhanced automated tagging of faces**

  * Refined recognition list to focus on local figures, comprising of 50 Singapore ministers and prominent MINDEF/SAF faces. This change aims to provide more relevant automatic tags during uploads.
  * We're working on adding more MINDEF/SAF faces to the list – stay tuned for updates!

* New: **M4V format support**
  * M4V format support has been added to Pinpoint and user can now upload and manage them.
