This page shows a summary of major releases for Pinpoint.

Q2 2025 April

• New: Video Duration on Thumbnails

  • You can now see how long a video is—right from the thumbnail. Whether you’re browsing or picking the right media, the duration timestamp helps you choose content that fits your time.

  

  • New: Collapsible Sidebar You can now collapse the sidebar to free up space and stay focused. Expand it again anytime when you need quick access to navigation.

  

  Simply click on the collapsible sidebar icon to hide the sidebar

  • Update: Expanded Facial Recognition

    Our facial recognition model can now identify 30 additional individuals. This enhancement improves recognition accuracy and ensures better coverage. Need someone added? Reach out to us to include new faces in the model.

Q1 2025 March

• New: Light mode

  • Switch to a brighter, more vibrant experience with our new Light Mode! Enjoy a clean, sleek interface that's easy on the eyes, perfect for daytime use.

  

  Simply click on the toggle switch at the bottom left to switch between modes!

• Update: Improved filters function

  • You can now apply multiple filters at once, allowing you to refine your results with greater precision. With the ability to select more than one filter simultaneously, you can now quickly find the content that best matches your needs. Enjoy a faster, more tailored search experience!

  

Q1 2025 February

• New: Tag view

  • Tag view allows you to create albums with tags, offering an instant overview of workspace files.

• New: Enhanced downloads

  • The bulk download limit has been increased from 300MB to 3GB. Here's how the download process works:

    For files under 100MB:

    • The download file will be prepared instantly and shown in the browser for direct download.

    For files over 100MB:

    • The download link will take some time to prepare and will be sent to the email associated with the user's account.

    Note: There is no limit for individual file downloads.

Q1 2025 January

• New: Effortless media navigation!

  • We’ve made browsing media even smoother! You can now navigate through media in the gallery and selected media in the expanded view using the left ← and right → arrow keys. No more clicking around—just press an arrow key to move forward or backward seamlessly.

• Update: Media format support

  • Pinpoint now supports upload of avi, .heic and .heif media formats

Q4 2024 December

• Update: A fresh new design

  • A cleaner and more intuitive platform, including changes to simplify the sidebar and shifting of workspaces to the top.

• New: Recycle Bin

  • Restore deleted media, keep admins informed, and enjoy auto-cleanup after 60 days.

Q4 2024 November

• Update: Increased the media size limit to 50 MB

  • You can now upload PNG, JPEG, GIF and SVG files, up to 50 MB each.

  

Q4 2024 October

• New: Copy media

  • Features that allows users to copy media from one workspace to another.

    

Q3 2024 September

• New: Shareable links

  • Want to share specific media with other Pinpoint users in your workspace? Use shareable links!

• New: Workspace logs

  • Admins of workspaces now have access to "Workspace logs", which displays activities within the workspace.

  • Activities logged:

    • Uploading & Deleting of images in the workspace.

    • Adding & Removal of users to the workspace

Q3 2024 August

• New: Smart tag suggestions

  • To streamline manual tagging, we now offer suggestions for existing tags as you type.

  • This helps ensure consistent tagging, like using “Singapore Prime Minister” for Lawrence Wong instead of abbreviation “SG PM.”

Suggested tags will be shown in the drop-down list.

• Update: Enhanced automated tagging of faces

  • Refined recognition list to focus on local figures, comprising of 50 Singapore ministers and prominent MINDEF/SAF faces. This change aims to provide more relevant automatic tags during uploads.

  • We're working on adding more MINDEF/SAF faces to the list – stay tuned for updates!

• New: M4V format support

  • M4V format support has been added to Pinpoint and user can now upload and manage them.

Q2 2024 June

• New: Videos

  • Users can now upload, view and download videos on Pinpoint!

  • File formats supported for videos: MP4, MOV.

• Update: Changes were made to upload and download conditions

  • Updated upload conditions:

    1. Media Classification up to RESTRICTED / Sensitive Normal.

    2. Extensions allowed:

       • Image formats: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .svg

       • Video formats: .mp4, .mov

    3. Upload up to 100 files with a total file size of up to 10 GB per upload.

    4. Upload PNG, JPEG, GIF and SVG files, up to 15 MB each.

  • Updated download conditions:

    • 1 x Video or 20 x Images per download.

Q2 2024 May

• New: Expand module

  • Allow users to preview images in an enlarged view.

    

Q2 2024 April

• New: Mobile view

  • Users can now access and use Pinpoint on their mobile devices to view and download media.
