# Tag View with Albums

Tag view allows you to show your media in albums, offering an instant overview of workspace files.

## What is the difference between Tag View and traditional folders?

## How to Start Using Tag View

### 1. Add Tags to Your Media

[Upload your media](/pinpoint-guide/user-guides/desktop-laptop/uploading.md#how-to-upload-to-pinpoint), and [categorise them with tags](/pinpoint-guide/user-guides/desktop-laptop/tagging.md#how-to-tag-media) like people, objects, or events.

### 2. Toggle to Tag View

Select the toggle on the top-right. Then, media will be auto-grouped into albums based on each media's tags.

### 3. Pin Tags

Pin important tags so everyone in the workspace can quickly locate essential media.

### 4. Sort Tags

Sort tags by media count or alphabetical order.

### 5. View Tags

Click on any of the albums to view them. This will bring you back to the default Gallery view, but with a [tag filter](/pinpoint-guide/user-guides/desktop-laptop/viewing-and-filtering.md#filter-by-tags) applied for you.

You can also click "Tag them now?" inside the blue notice to view all untagged media in the workspace.
